Nut & seed cherry granola

Granola is a perfect cycling, hiking or camping trip nourishment. It is incredibly easy to make at home. The base is made of crunchy, honey-baked oats and all the rest are tasty bits that make you happy:)


150 g rolled oats
50 g walnuts
30 g hazelnuts
30 g pumpkin seeds
30 g sunflower seeds
5 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons honey (maple/agave syrup for vegan version)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
canned pitted cherries


  • Heat the oven to 150°C.
  • Place the oats, nuts, seeds, cinnamon, salt, oil, honey in a medium bowl and  mix until well combined. Spread granola mixture in an even layer on a baking sheet. Bake about 20 minutes stirring every 5-10 minutes until granola is toasted. Let it cool.
  • Place a tablespoon of granola in a bowl, pour over some cherry juice from canned cherries. Add a generous portion of cherries and top with another spoon of granola.
