These fragrant oatmeal cookies I made for my mom. We both adore spices and oatmeal, so it all went together well in this recipe:) Enjoy!:)
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup rolled oats
200 g soft butter
1 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
80 g granulated sugar
200 g all-purpose flour
100 g dark chocolate or chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl combine soft butter, egg and sour cream. Chop a chocolate bar into little chunks (if you don’t have chocolate chips). Mix all dry ingredients. Combine butter mixture, chocolate chips and dry ingredients together. Cover the dough and leave to chill in the fridge at least for 30 minutes. Remove the chilled dough from the fridge, cut into small pieces and roll them into balls. Flatten them forming the cookies. Place on the baking sheet a few cm apart (the cookies will spread a bit). Bake for 12-18 minutes when they begin to get golden around the edges. Let cool for 10 minutes, then move to a rack to cool completely.
