Chocolate orange bundt cake

Yogurt-based, orange-flavored, easy chocolate cake that I make for any urgent occasion. Experience slightly hot aftertaste adding some chili powder to the batter;) The texture of such cake is fluffy and moist at the same time. Enjoy!:)

Ingredients

65 ml vegetable oil
165 g plain yogurt
2 eggs
zest and juice from 2 oranges
160 g all-purpose flour
135 g sugar
2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder
1/3 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon lemon juice
pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder, optionally
80 g chocolate for glazing

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a bundt pan with oil.

In a large bowl stir the oil and yogurt. Add the eggs, orange juice and zest and mix well. In another bowl sift in flour and cocoa powder, add sugar, salt,  bicarbonate of soda together with lemon juice, chili powder (optionally) and mix well. Whisk in the dry ingredients into the liquid mixture.

Pour the batter in the bundt pan and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean. Leave to stand for 5 minutes, remove from pan and allow to cool and firm on a wire rack.

For the glaze: melt the chocolate (in a microwave or over a hot-water bath) and spread over the cake. Decorate with thawed/fresh blueberries, if desirable.
